~HAPPY FRIDAY~

PARTY,PARTY! ~PEEKaBOO~

~Countryfile Photographic Competition 2010~

This year's winning photograph, 'Going Home,' is one of a series taken by Pen Rashbass. She set out to capture one of our coldest winters, when she was snowed in during a visit to friends in Scotland. The sheep had to be driven down from the hills and Pen was right at the heart of the action. It was all a far cry from her day job as a senior lecturer in bio-medical science at the University of Sheffield, but photography and training her working sheep dogs are her passions. Pen captured her Moment of Magic on a tiny compact camera - the kind you can carry about in your pocket.

OMG FACT:

A group of crows is called a “murder.”

This name came about because a group of crows will sometimes kill a dying crow.

The lion's share

Kevin Richardson, a.k.a. the Lion Whisperer, is wrestled by a lion and lioness in their enclosure at the Kingdom of the White Lion park in Broederstroom, near Johannesburg South Africa.
“On Halloween, if you hear a creepy continual scratching at the window, it’s probably just a branch… Zombies use them to reach the windows.”
