Where did the phrase cat got your tongue come from?
This saying came from the British Navy. The Cat-o-nine-tails being the whip used to flog sailors .After flogging the sailors were in so much pain that they were unable to speak - ie the cat had got their tongue. HAVE A SMILEY DAY ~PEEKaBOO~
