Last day of the year and of the decade and it feels like a Sunday. More coffee.
Just to deal with all this.
Just to deal with all this.
~OMG FACT~
A Chinese woman quit her job and sold her house and car in order to adopt over 1,500 dogs and 200 cats.
Ha Wenjin started out with only a few dogs, but gradually expanded until she had her own animal shelter that she had to tend to full-time. She even has 12 workers helping her (10 for the dogs and 2 more for the cats). Additionally, she had a number of volunteers.
Sadly, the Chinese reclaimed the land that she built her animal shelter on, so she has to relocate.
You have to check out these pictures. I’ve never seen so many dogs.

"I cannot go to school today,"
Said little Sara Mobeck
"I have the measles and the mumps,
A gash, a rash, and purple bumps.
My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,
I'm going blind in my right eye.
My tonsils are as big as rocks,
I've counted sixteen chicken pox
And there's one more--that's seventeen,
And don't you think my face looks green?
My leg is cut, my eyes are blue--
It might be instamatic flu.
I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,
I'm sure that my left leg is broke--
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button's caving in,
My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained,
My 'pendix pains each time it rains.
My nose is cold, my toes are numb,
I have a sliver in my thumb.
My neck is stiff, my voice is weak,
I hardly whisper when I speak.
My tongue is filling up my mouth,
I think my hair is falling out.
My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight,
My temperature is one-o-eight.
My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,
There is a hole inside my ear.
I have a hangnail, and my heart is--what?
What's that? What's that you say?
You say today is---Saturday?
G'bye, I'm going out to play!"

A species of bird is able to moonwalk.
The Red-capped Manakin is a species of bird whose males are well known for performing incredibly fast dances to encourage females to mate with them. Their wings move so fast that they require a high-speed video camera in order see them move. Their wings move even faster than a hummingbird’s!
They also have a distinct mating call, but unlike other birds, the sound doesn’t come from their mouths. It’s actually the sound of their wing tips running together!
Watch this video to see them in action! The Moonwalk segment begins at 2:00 into the video.

I used to believe a blizzard was an animal that lived outside in the snow. My Mother would worry and say things like "I hope your Father gets home soon, there's a blizzard outside" or "you can't go outside because of the blizzard." I would look out from a window in hopes of seeing that little blizzard.

I left my warm, studio apartment to have coffee with a friend, wearing my waterproof boots, fluffy down jacket, wool hat, and oversized scarf I had gotten as an early Christmas present from my girlfriend. The snowstorm that morning was the beginning of the coldest winters New York had seen in over 20 years. I hurried to the park that’s between our two tiny apartments, knowing that I would get some beautiful images of the new snow. This was the only picture I took that day.

You want to turn Google Translate into a beat-box?
If you go to Google Translate and type in "pv zk bschk pv zk pv bschk zk pv zk bschk pv zk pv bschk zk bschk pv bschk bschk pv kkkkkkkkkk bschk" from German to German and press the listen button, it sounds like someone is beat boxing. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!

Snowman
Twas the first day of springtime,
And the snowman stood alone
As the winter snows were melting
And the pine trees seemed to groan,
"Ah, you poor sad smiling snowman,
You'll be melting by and by."
Said the snowman,"What a pity,
For I'd like to see July.
Yes, I'd like to see July, and please don't ask me why.
But I'd like to, yes I'd like to, oh I'd like to see July.
Chirped a robin just arriving,
"Seasons come come and seasons go,
And the greatest ice crumble
When it's flowers' time to grow.
And as one thing is beginning
So another thing must die,
And there's never been a snowman
Who has ever seen July.
No, they never see July, no matter how they try.
No, they never ever, never ever, never see July."
But the snowman sniffed his carrot nose
And said, "At least I'll try,"
And he bravely smiled his frosty smile
And blinked his coal black eye.
And there he stood and faced the sun
A blazin' from the sky---
And I really cannot tell you
If he ever saw July.
Did he ever see July? You can guess as well as I
If he ever, if he never, if he ever saw July.
This Wyoming town has a population of one. The resident is preparing for his holiday ritual of going out on his porch, caroling himself, going in to listen, going out to sing again, and finally offering himself some eggnog.
